ambient music and self esteem
…played a gig @ borders on saturday in arcadia…the manager said he was suprised that the cafe was packed all night…he told me that usually when people perform the cafe empties out…this made me think of something interesting…when you play ambient music you know you’re doing well when no-one stops reading or conversing while you’re playing….while its counter-intuitive no response is the best response….so you can’t have low self esteem and be an ambient artist….
…heard one of my songs *summer daydream* on the radio today…i’ve had airplay before and had music on T.V. however this was the first time i actually heard one of my songs on the radio…a small victory after years of hard work and persistence.. ….
..it was amazingly hot on the stage at the Mayan tonight, which i absolutely loved…rock music is always funner to play and more energetic when you’re all hot and sweaty….
